This project was inspired by Michael Moore’s famous movie “Bowling for Columbine”, which in Poland was promoted under the title “Play with Guns”. My series of works is a reflection on social processes related to the power of mass media in education. How do we understand the world of violence? How fast do we learn to copy violent behaviours? How do we, as children, learn to use potentially dangerous items and what do the parents truly think about this kind of toys? Just look at the kids playing with safe and soft guns… The familiar shapes of chosen objects, easily available war photographs and popular action movies gave them a direct instruction of how to play with such toys.
